Autumn in the Botanic Garden

Celebrate fall at Tulsa Botanic Garden with a variety of events, as well as a pumpkin patch with pumpkins and gourds for sale, a hay maze, weekly Bands & Blooms concerts, family-friendly BOOtanical trail and the annual Scarecrow Challenge. Garden tickets for nonmembers: $10 for ages 16-up, $5 for 3-15.

Stained Glass Class

Make and take home a beautiful leaded stained glass suncatcher-type project or a stained glass mosaic. Project materials, use of tools and equipment are included in the workshop price. Prop Me Up — Propagation Workshop

Fall Home Expo

This free three-day event features the latest home products, holiday gift ideas and a selection of goods to get you ready for the changing seasons. Woody Plants Workshop

Soap-Making Class

Native Plant Seed Swap

Whether you’re a seasoned grower or just starting out, connect with others, expand your collection and hone your gardening skills. At this free, come-and-go event, you will be able to share seeds harvested from your native gardens in time for fall and winter sowing. Seeds should be from plants native to the Oklahoma region, no more than 1 to 2 years old for best viability, and clearly marked with common and Latin names.

PhilBark Dog Days

During Dog Days at Philbrook Museum, leashed dogs will be allowed throughout the outdoor gardens. Please bring your own bowl to fill at water fountains and enjoy a stroll and outdoor seating with your leashed canine friend. Owners must clean up promptly after their pets. Waste stations will be provided. Dogs must be current on all vaccinations and registrations. Dogs must be socialized and well-behaved. Philbrook staff reserves the right to ask owners to leave campus with their pet. Dogs are not allowed inside the galleries. Service animals are always welcome. See museum ticket prices online.

Personalized Doormat Workshop

Put a personal touch on your doorstep with this Personalized Doormat Workshop. Pick your paint colors and use a stencil to personalize a doormat. Choose from multiple unique designs and get creative. Cost: $40.

Sourdough Workshop

In this workshop, participants will be taught the basics of sourdough starter, how to maintain it, mix it and what to watch for during fermentation. Participants will then be taught the basics of how to mix the starter into dough, shaping the dough properly and using different techniques of scoring. Everyone will leave with a mason jar of active starter and their dough to bake at home. Go online to see more dates for this class. Cost: $40.

Wooden Holiday Decorations Workshop

Wreath-Making Workshop

In this hands-on workshop, decorate a grapevine wreath with fresh greenery and seasonal flora as Philbrook horticulturists guide you in creating a wreath, which can also be used as a centerpiece, to take home for the holidays. Tickets: $55 for members and member youth; $65 nonmembers. Tickets include general admission to museum and gardens.

Christmas Bird Count

Ray Harral Nature Center and Tulsa Audubon are teaming up for a Christmas Bird Count. Learn more about the birds that call the area home during the winter while participating in the longest-running community science project in the country. Naturalists and members of the Tulsa Audubon Society will lead bird hikes through the forest counting birds as we go. Afterward, help tally the results for the annual E-birds Christmas Bird Count Project.
