Pasco School District students begin construction on 25th student-built home
PASCO, Wash. — For over a decade students have built homes in Pasco through the Pasco School District’s construction trades classes.
This year, they’re getting started on home number 25; building it from the ground up, and building connections with area companies who they could work for when they graduate.
The homes, which are sold to Tri-Cities families when completed, also help fund scholarships and further learning opportunities for students who choose to pursue a career in the trades.
Students say they enjoy taking trades classes more than their traditional classes because of the hands-on nature of the courses.
