DCFD said it was conducting a technical rescue in the 2500 block of 41st St. in Northwest D.C. where the worker was at a home construction site.
The fire department said crews removed the worker from the interior of the home using a Stokes basket, which is a type of rescue device used to carry people.
Medics took the worker to the hospital with serious injuries.
