- Organizers Jody and Mary Witzky highlight the show’s focus on high-quality, handcrafted furniture and cabinetry as a key attraction for attendees.
- Exhibitors like Yoder’s Greenhouse value the event as a platform to connect with existing and potential customers, marking the start of the spring season.
- The event fosters a strong sense of community, with attendees enjoying the wide array of offerings, food from Mrs. Yoder’s Kitchen and a family-friendly atmosphere.
Exhibitors ranging from home remodeling, landscaping and roofing to furniture, cabinets and lighting will set up displays for the 2025 Spring Amish Country Home and Garden Market.
The show will take place at the Mt. Hope Event Center, 8076 State Route 241, Millersburg (Mount Hope), noon-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27; 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28; and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, March 1.
Admission is $10. Senior citizens pay half price Thursday. Youth ages 16 and under enter free. Free parking and shuttle service is provided.
Jody and Mary Witzky have been putting the show on for the past 17 years. It moved to Mount Hope eight years ago.
“The people here are such a pleasure to work with,” Jody Witzky said. “And the Mount Hope Event Center is such a first class facility. They treat us great and are here to help make sure everything goes smoothly.”
Witzky said the show sells out every year. A few new vendors have been added this year, bringing the total to more than 200. There are more than 100 on a waiting list, Witzky said.
“This may not be the biggest show in the state, but it is the best because of the handcrafted furniture and cabinetry we have here,” Witzky said. “The quality and the craftsmanship of the stuff we have makes this a great show. That’s what brings the people back in every year.”
A nice kick off of the spring selling season
Nelson Yoder, owner of Yoder’s Greenhouse, has been coming to the Spring Home and Garden Show since it began in 2008.
“We get a lot of exposure by being there, and it is a great kickoff to the spring season,” Yoder said. “It gives our salesmen a chance to converse with some of our customers and neighbors from around the community. Plus, it’s an opportunity to meet some new customers.
“It’s a great show,” Yoder added. “We’re glad to be a part of it.”
Exhibitors make the show
“Without our wonderful exhibitors, there would be no show,” Witzky said.”This event would not be possible without the wide variety of quality products and services displayed each year. The time and work these folks put in is greatly appreciated.”
Witzky expressed his appreciation for the visitors to the event.
“The support every year continues to amaze me,” Witzky said. “We strive to maintain a wide variety of quality professional products and services for every home project, whether it’s a remodel or new build or a tranquil outdoor oasis. There is someone here to meet your every need.”
There also are a number of health related and home products for indoor needs as well. Aultman Orrville Hospital will have staff to take blood pressure checks and answer questions.
Thanks to Mrs. Yoder’s Kitchen crew for feeding everyone
Witzky added his appreciation for the Mount Hope Event Center staff for their efforts throughout the show, as well as the folks at Mrs. Yode’s Kitchen.
“Trent, Michelle and the entire kitchen staff at Mrs. Yoder’s Kitchen do an amazing job keeping the crowds fed,” he said. “These folks are awesome.
“The way they have it set up, it’s a perfect family event,” Witzky said. “People can come in and spend the whole day here and have dinner here and see hundreds of people.”
